Department of Political Science

The Department of Political Science is one of the pioneering Department of Murkong Selek College. Since the inception of the College in the year 1984, the Department of Political Science has been imparting quality education in both Higher Secondary and Under Graduate level Course. Subsequently, in 1993, the Department of Political Science started its full fledged functioning with the Introduction of “Honours” Course in Political Science under the headship of Sukhalata Phukon Gogoi. Former faculty members of Political Science Department were Late Jibesh Doley and Joy kumar Doley. At present, The Department comprised of three permanent Faculty members, respectively Krishna kanta Doley, Jharna Das and Anwesha Thengal.

All the experienced and qualified Assistant Professors are working enthusiastically for the overall growth of the Department. The Department of the Political Science organizes seminars and group discussions in every session to encourage the students for the enhancement of their intellectual capacity.
